Where, oh where, has our summer gone?   Where, oh where, can it be?

It is hard to believe that we are already into August, with our days of summer being numbered.  We leave next Wednesday for the shore, our big vacation of the summer - we return less than a week before school starts.

We've had camp (day and overnight), summer school, t-ball, gymnastics, cheerleading, library programs, a trip to Texas and lots of fun in the sprinkler.  Never did get around to visiting the community pool or Bay Beach amusement park this year.  There is always more that you want to do!  

The good news is that I have bought the last of the school supplies today.  Would have been done awhile ago but glue sticks were hard to find this year, I'm not sure why.  I have noticed that the supply lists were shorter and more basic this year than last - perhaps the teachers are taking pity on parents who are struggling financially.  While not struggling, I know we appreciated being able to spend less on supplies this year.  (Of course, it helps that we are re-using a lot from last year including backpacks, supply boxes, some art supplies.)

Of course, the other big change come fall for us is that I will be returning to work.  Hopefully part-time.  Hopefully without a long search.  Keep your fingers crossed that I will have good news soon.
